💊 Doz Privacy Policy

Privacy by design: Doz is a private medication reminder for iPhone. Your medications and schedules stay on your device — no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no Doz server. We never see, collect or sell your health data.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Doz stores the following locally, in Apple's encrypted SwiftData database — only because the app can't work without it:
- Medication entries: medication names, schedules, doses you mark as taken and optional stock counts — exactly what you type in
- Preferences: display currency, reminder settings, onboarding state
- Pro status: a StoreKit 2 entitlement flag for Doz Pro — Apple processes the purchase; we never receive your name, address or payment details
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No personal identity data (name, e-mail, phone number)
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics SDKs
- No server-side accounts — we don't operate a backend at all
3. How Your Data Is Used
Solely on your device, to:
- Show today's doses and remind you on time
- Schedule local dose reminders with quick actions (take / snooze)
- Render Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets through the app's private App Group container
- Build your private adherence history (Pro)
4. Storage, Sync & Security
- Local storage: SwiftData inside the iOS App Sandbox
- Widgets: a small summary (next dose) is shared with the widget via Apple's App Group container — still on your device
- iCloud sync (optional, future update): if you enable it, data syncs through your private iCloud container with Apple's encryption; we have no access and you can turn it off anytime
- Deletion: deleting an entry removes it immediately; uninstalling the app removes everything
5. Notifications
Dose reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. There is no push server and nothing is ever transmitted. Doz is a reminder tool, not medical advice.
6. Purchases & Third Parties
Doz Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use no third-party SDKs. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
7. Your Control
- Edit or delete any entry at any time
- Uninstall the app to erase all local data
- Manage or cancel Doz Pro in your App Store settings
8. Children's Privacy
Doz is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, the updated policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
