✅ Habit Tracker Privacy Policy

Privacy by design: Habit Tracker is a daily habit tracker for iPhone. Everything you enter stays on your device — no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no Habit Tracker server. We never see, collect or sell your data.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Habit Tracker stores the following locally, in Apple's encrypted SwiftData database — only because the app can't work without it:
- Habits & completions: habit names, icons, colors, schedules, completion history, streaks and notes — exactly what you type in
- Preferences: reminder settings, appearance options, onboarding state
- Pro status: a StoreKit 2 entitlement flag for Habit Tracker Pro — Apple processes the purchase; we never receive your name, address or payment details
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No personal identity data (name, e-mail, phone number)
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics SDKs
- No server-side accounts — we don't operate a backend at all
3. How Your Data Is Used
Solely on your device, to:
- Show your habits, completion history, streaks and statistics
- Schedule local habit reminders
- Render Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets through the app's private App Group container
- Format dates and progress in your chosen settings
4. Storage, Sync & Security
- Local storage: SwiftData inside the iOS App Sandbox
- Widgets: a small summary (today's habits and streaks) is shared with the widget via Apple's App Group container — still on your device
- iCloud sync (optional, future update): if you enable it, data syncs through your private iCloud container with Apple's encryption; we have no access and you can turn it off anytime
- Deletion: deleting a habit or entry removes it immediately; uninstalling the app removes everything
5. Notifications
Habit reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. There is no push server and nothing is ever transmitted.
6. Purchases & Third Parties
Habit Tracker Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use no third-party SDKs. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
7. Your Control
- Edit or delete any habit or entry at any time
- Uninstall the app to erase all local data
- Manage or cancel Habit Tracker Pro in your App Store settings
8. Children's Privacy
Habit Tracker is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, the updated policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
