🤰 Pregnancy Compass Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Pregnancy Compass stores the following locally, in Apple's encrypted SwiftData database — only because the app can't work without it:

• Pregnancy details: your due date and week-by-week progress, kick counts, contraction times, and the weight, blood pressure, symptoms and notes you log
• Plans & checklists: doctor-visit questions and measurements, your birth plan and hospital-bag checklist — exactly what you type in
• Preferences: language, units, reminder and display settings, onboarding state
• Premium status: a StoreKit 2 entitlement flag for Pregnancy Compass Premium — Apple processes the purchase; we never receive your name, address or payment details

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• No personal identity data (name, e-mail, phone number)
• No location data
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics SDKs
• No server-side accounts — we don't operate a backend at all

3. How Your Data Is Used

Solely on your device, to:

• Show your current pregnancy week and what to expect for you and your baby
• Run tools like the kick counter and contraction timer — offline
• Chart your weight, blood pressure and symptoms over time
• Prepare for appointments with doctor-visit mode and your checklists (Premium)

4. Storage, Sync & Security

• Local storage: SwiftData inside the iOS App Sandbox
• iCloud sync (optional): if you enable it, your data syncs only within your private iCloud account with Apple's encryption; we have no access and you can turn it off anytime
• Widgets: if you add a widget, a small summary (e.g., your current week) is shared with it through the app's private App Group container — still on your device
• Deletion: deleting an entry removes it immediately; uninstalling the app removes everything

5. Notifications

Any reminders (such as for appointments or daily logging) are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. There is no push server and nothing is ever transmitted. Pregnancy Compass provides general information, not medical advice — always consult your doctor about your health.

6. Purchases & Third Parties

Pregnancy Compass Premium (monthly, yearly or lifetime) is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use no third-party SDKs. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

7. Your Control

• Edit or delete any entry at any time
• Uninstall the app to erase all local data
• Manage or cancel Pregnancy Compass Premium in your App Store settings

8. Children's Privacy

Pregnancy Compass is intended for expecting parents and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no personal data from anyone.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, the updated policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
