💳 SubTrack Privacy Policy

Privacy by design: SubTrack is a subscription & bill tracker for iPhone. Everything you enter stays on your device — no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no SubTrack server. We never see, collect or sell your data.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
SubTrack stores the following locally, in Apple's encrypted SwiftData database — only because the app can't work without it:
- Subscription entries: service name, price, currency, billing cycle, first bill date, category, notes and active/paused state — exactly what you type in
- Preferences: display currency, reminder settings, onboarding state
- Pro status: a StoreKit 2 entitlement flag for SubTrack Pro — Apple processes the purchase; we never receive your name, address or payment details
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No personal identity data (name, e-mail, phone number)
- No bank or card connections — SubTrack never touches your financial accounts
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics SDKs
- No server-side accounts — we don't operate a backend at all
3. How Your Data Is Used
Solely on your device, to:
- Show monthly / yearly totals and upcoming renewals
- Schedule local renewal reminders (Pro)
- Render Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets through the app's private App Group container
- Format prices in your chosen currency
4. Storage, Sync & Security
- Local storage: SwiftData inside the iOS App Sandbox
- Widgets: a small summary (monthly total, next renewal) is shared with the widget via Apple's App Group container — still on your device
- iCloud sync (optional, future update): if you enable it, data syncs through your private iCloud container with Apple's encryption; we have no access and you can turn it off anytime
- Deletion: deleting an entry removes it immediately; uninstalling the app removes everything
5. Notifications
Renewal reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. There is no push server and nothing is ever transmitted.
6. Purchases & Third Parties
SubTrack Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use no third-party SDKs. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
7. Your Control
- Edit or delete any entry at any time
- Pause entries so they don't count toward your totals
- Uninstall the app to erase all local data
- Manage or cancel SubTrack Pro in your App Store settings
8. Children's Privacy
SubTrack is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, the updated policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
